About
Akshita Hospital was set up on Children's Park Road in Nellore around a simple idea: rather than offer a little of everything, run two departments deeply — gastroenterology and gynaecology — each under a full-time consultant, with the operation theatre, scan room, lab and pharmacy they need on site.
You see the consultant, not a rotating panel. The person who scopes you is the person who reads the scope and explains the result. The doctor who follows your pregnancy is the one in theatre if a caesarean becomes necessary.
Because both departments are super-speciality, procedures that usually mean a trip to Chennai or Tirupati — ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, laparoscopic hysterectomy — are done here in Nellore.

Diagnosis and treatment for the food pipe, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas and bile ducts — including advanced endoscopic procedures that most hospitals in the district refer out.

Insurance & payments
If your policy is with one of the companies below, treatment here can usually be taken cashless. Send your policy or card details to reception a day ahead for planned admissions so pre-authorisation is ready.
